A Rede ACV Bimonthly Meeting with an end-of-year celebration feel!
On 11.28.2024 we were generously hosted by Embrapa Meio Ambiente, in Jaguariúna (SP), to discuss LCAs & Food: a strategic focus that cuts across several challenges.
Marília Folegatti, Researcher at Embrapa Meio Ambiente, Rede ACV Council Member and coordinator of our Agriculture Sector perspective, treated us to an account of what was recently discussed at LCA Food, held in Barcelona (Spain) in early September.
Guilherme de Castilho Queiroz, Scientific Researcher at ITAL, shared a study on chocolate, specifically the benefits of Labeling in communicating Sustainability, the implications of different cocoa farming methods and the role of companies in the necessary engagement of consumers.
Carina Lins, Sustainability Specialist at GS1 Brasil, summarized the rich learnings from an event promoted by the organization the day before: “Agro em Código – Agribusiness Traceability Summit”.
We had the participation of ~50 colleagues, and those who could come to Embrapa and stayed for lunch are in the photo (from left to right): Diego Corrêa Magalhães (President of Rede ACV, representing ArcelorMittal), Nilza Patricia Ramos (Embrapa Meio Ambiente), Juliana Ferreira Picoli (member of Rede ACV's Deliberative Council, representing FGV), Letícia De Santi Barrantes (ACV Brasil), Sonia Karin Chapman (Executive Secretary of Rede ACV), Michelle Tereza Scachetti (SCS Global Services), Marília Folegatti and Paula Tavares (Rede ACV volunteer).
